  1. Output of word report - add spacer between open responses

Currently, when generating a word report, all scrolling text box responses are displayed together, with no spacer between them. This means that it can be hard to differentiate where 1 comment ends and another begins.

    e.g.

This is response 1 and from the first respondent.
This is response 2, but if response 1 is a certain length, it is hard to see that response 2 has started.
Adding more responses would be improved with a spacer of some form

If this were reponse 4, a gap makes it easy to see as a seperate entry.

    Hope this is a clear…

With regards to spacing between paragraphs in the Publish Word action, the design currently provides 10 points of spacing after a paragraph break in the Word document. This 10 points of spacing is by design to produce a visible amount of white space between the paragraphs.

Just to clarify, how may points of spacing after a paragraph break would you like to see?

  2. Community email survey campaign suggestions

Can I make suggestions for the email campaign options. I did not find options below in help files.

Is it possible to define where the 'call-to-action link text' appears in the body of the email, it automatically appears at the bottom, which after the address info and opt out link it is a little hard to find.

Is it possible to copy the email survey options along with the copy of a survey, so as you copy a new survey in setup survey, then the email survey campaign is copied along with it. This option would additionally require the manage…

  3. Allow respondent to Print the filled in survey.

I sometimes use Surveygold to create a data collection instrument. Respondents will fill out the form and it would be useful for them to be able to print a copy of the completed form as well as submitting it. I know there is a clear data to reset the form/survey but not a print function. I have in the past have had people print/capture each page, one at a time, to a pdf file.

Jerry, thanks for the suggestion. This this feature is under consideration for a future release. It should be a fairly straightforward feature to implement as SurveyGold already provides the ability to email responses to respondents. We would just need to implement a variation of this existing functionality.

We do have a question for you. In thinking about how to implement this capability, we are thinking of one of two designs. We would be interested in knowing what you (and others) think of these options:

    A) When the respondent submits the Submit Your Responses button, the confirmation message appears as usual and the submitted responses are displayed below them. The respondent can print the displayed responses.

    B) When the respondent submits the Submit Your Responses button, the confirmation message appears as usual and a Print Your Responses button appears. The respondent clicks the button and the submitted responses are displayed. The…

  4. Comments or other questions in same section as matrix

It would be helpful to be able to have other questions appear on the same page as a matrix.

  5. Non-Latin characters

Given the number of clients we have in the Pacific Rim, support for non-Latin character sets would be a welcome addition.

  6. SPSS Bug

I’ve been noticing something odd with the way Survey Gold exports a dataset into Excel and SPSS formats. I perform both exports for my surveys.

If I perform SPSS export ahead of Excel then everything is all right. But should I happen to perform an Excel export prior to an SPSS export for any survey (not necessarily for same dataset), then all succeeding SPSS exports are messed up. The difference is that the first row in Excel dataset, i.e. the row headers, are then included in the SPSS dataset as the first data record. This is so odd.

    For your…

  8. SPSS Minor Conversion Bug

I am in the process of converting the responses to my survey to SPSS for analysis. I converted the resonses to SPSS without an issue, but I noticed a glitch. For questions where there is an open ended choice in the set of responses for a multipe-choice question, the responses for other (or the open ended choice) do not get coded correctly in SPSS. SPSS assigns this choice a numerical value, but because there is extra text in the response, it does not match the responses as being the same.

Also, the comments that are inputted in open ended choices…

  9. Conditionally email notification based on response provided

Provide the ability to notify one or more email addresses that a particular response was provided to a survey. This would be particularly useful in circumstances where an expected response could go largely unnoticed, but where an unexpected or out-of-range response could be immediately raised to the attention of one or more stakeholders via an email message.

  10. Complex Exam Scoring

I attach the best I could find – they are all in Zettl: Television Production Handbook and Workbook. (Wadsworth)

If the software can match a number of conditions in the questions with a number of conditions in the answer (which would be the same as ranking), as these examples show, I reckon that SurveyGold will be up there with the best educational software.

I repeat what I said before – I personally would be happy to pay for a testing module as an add-on, in other words, with a premium subscription.

The reason is that training schools also need to…

  12. Verify the sum of a set of responses in a section

I have a section that needs to have all responses add up to 100 point. Each question in the section has a numeric value associated with it. The survey should not proceed unless the responses add up properly.

  13. Randomize or rotate answer choices for a given question

One important feature that I can't seem to find (but hopefully have just missed) is the ability for SurveyGold to rotate or randomize answer choices for a given question so that respondents are not inclined to just select the first answer choice listed.
