How to remove question numbers from an online survey form

Assuming that you are conducting your survey as an online survey form, the simple solution to remove question numbers is to enable the multi-page navigation feature. 

This causes each section in the survey to be displayed on a separate page...and there are no question numbers displayed with the multi-page navigation feature enabled.

To enable the multi-page navigation feature: 
  1. In Setup Survey, select your survey
  2. Perform the Properties action form the button bar to open the survey properties sheet
  3. Select the option for multi-page and select OK 
  4. Save your survey as an online survey form
Another way to enable the multi-page navigation feature: 
  1. When saving your survey as an online survey form, select the Navigation tab
  2. Select the option box for multi-page and any other options (e.g., Back button or progress bar) 
  3. Save your survey as an online survey form
